Project's development: Reconstruction of Otero de Sariegos? church
The most important colony of Lesser Kestrel at the BSPZ is situated in the town of Otero de Sariegos. This colony uses this town?s church as one of the main nesting spots. The poor maintenance conditions of its roof and, therefore, of the church itself endangered the survival of this colony.
For this reason it was decided to attempt the church's roof reconstruction as well as the installation of 34 nesting boxes specifically designed to be used by Lesser Kestrel.
